Knock Sensor Location

Can someone help, just put a new head on my 2.0 16v i have pluged everything back in except the knock sensor, i have found a empty plug right at the back of the engine but when i plug it into that it almost caught fire Electrical( lots of smoke ) I unplugged this and it runs but still need to know where this should go

T don't really know if it helps but on my 2.5 V6 there is also a "spare" connector that does not connect into anything!   Just a spare for an accessory mine does not enjoy! ::) ::) ;) ;)

Knock sensor is located on number 2 pot below the inlet manifold.

The loom connector is on the underside of the plastic tray that sits on top of the injectors between number 3 and 4 injector plug.

You need to sort that avator of yours out, as the rest of have done Mark! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Hi just had the tray off although there is a socket for this plug to go there are no wires from the loom going to this socket

I sorted it yesterday!

For the second time have cleared my cache but your avator, unlike most, is elongated like mine was until it was resized. ;)

Plug is at the back of the engine floating around behind the accelerator cable/ throttle body area.  Knock sensor itself is on the engine below the inlet manifold as stated by mark.  You can see it if you remove the alternator and it will be hiding behind the water pipe.
