Reverse Lights
« on: 08 November 2008, 12:34:14 »

Hello Guys

Im in need of more of your help yet again. Sorry

CAR: OMEGA ELITE 2.5 AUTO MINI FACELIFT

My reverse lights arent working.  Changed the bulbs and checked the fuse.  Now because its an auto, i assume it has no reverse light switch, so im a bit baffled as into how i go about sorting this out?

thanks

Have you tried to clean the gear selector inside the centre console with contact cleaner? Don't use WD40, use proper contact cleaner from Maplin. Costs about £2.

Just a notched bridge to engage gear lever. If all checks have shown nothing probably be the selector switch on offside of gearbox needs to be removed and cleaned with what Albatross said. Switch cleaner spray :y

have you checked the wiring which runs from boot compartment to boot lid, check for broken wires where the loom bends as bootlid opens and closes,if broken a little solder and wrap with insulation tape.
