A little question on the rear of the ciggy lighter
« on: 15 November 2008, 17:17:05 »

I've just been out fixing the rear center Air vents and stumbled two separate green and black electrical 5 pin female connecters with wires attached either side of the ciggy lighter on the back of the blanking panel.....

They are just sat there doing nothing and i wondered if anybody knows of their operational duties?

ie on different spec migs
(i have the 2000 2.0cd)

I've got buttons either side of the rear ciggy lighter for heated rear seats in my elite - so I guess you're right!

haha! sounds pretty standard piece of loom across omega range then!

yano if you get the cig lighter button thing and you have the loom and the heater rear bench then what else do you need to make the heated rears work?

thanks

haha!
i hope so too matey ;)
hopefully it'll be coming with the mv6 wheels already on it (gonna have to drill the security bolts off these cd wheels too :(
they broke mi security bolt tool! grrr...

it starts and runs but you have to hold it on the throttle for it to "idle"

thanks- i'll have another look tomorrow for the relays anyway (maybe they've sneaked me some in, or not)

Hi mate. They're for the heated rear seats. The lower spec cars came with pretty much teh same wiring as the higher spec models ( cheaper to produce I suppose). Ive just put heated leather in my 2.5 cd and these wires were present in mine. I just got a switch panel and connected them up. Trademeister
