Gearbox Code P0730
« on: 20 November 2008, 21:27:02 »

Had this code before when accumulator cap and circlip fell out. since been replaced.  After about 20 miles tonight - autobox warning came up and felt as though the back end was trying to pull it self apart.  Managed to drive in 3rd gear as the 4th gear will not lock up.  Not good for fuel consumption had to drive sixty miles home in 3rd.  Can't see anything untoward.  any ideas please. :'(

assuming 820 ecu, its gear ratio incorrect, which invariably is a mechanical fault

TB

was a mechanical fault last time when accumalator cap and spring fell out along with all the atf.  since been replaced and done at least 400 mile,  can't work out what has happened.  Is it possible for the selector switch to cause this if it gets wet, or is it another box jobby.

switch normally throws a range fault.
