99 2.0GLS Estate rear headrests help needed
« on: 21 November 2008, 01:13:28 »

I think I've just bought a car thats no good for us :'(

Its a 99 2.0GLS Estate with no rear headrests (having all had whiplash they wont travel in a car without them).

Does anyone know if changing the seats is the only way to fit them?

Phil

It should have them mine is the same model and has them, maybe they are just missing, are there any holes in the top of the seats?

Easy enough to swap seats, and usually always a few cloth ones going as people swap their cloth for leather...

You may have to change front seats as well for a match, possibly doorcards.  Contact one of the breakers on here.

Oh, and make sure any replacement (front) seats are from right age car - 3 different types:

Up to 1997 (open head restraints, no side airbags)
1998 - 1999 (solid head restraints, side airbags)
Facelift (solid restraints, side airbags)

Look in the parts for sale section (though you cannot start a new thread in there yet - sorry), you'll get a feel for who they are.  I won't mention them, as if I forget to mention one of them, they get upset ;D
