Ok I've have the 2.5 and it's a little lacking low down with a hole about just after 2k that goes on till about 3k then it starts to fly.  Looking for something to fill this and give it more grunt not after high power just improve driveability.

Am considering replacing filter with K&N standard replacement (they work well in bikes) and a chip.

k&n kit will probably make things worse. The standard multiram setup is not easy to improve upon.if you want more power from a 2.5 stick 3 litre cams in. :y

Do all the 3 litres have just 2 x G cams and 2 x A cams or is it 4 x G's? I know 2 x G's on the inlet of the V6 Vec gives in the region of 15 to 20 brake.

Sell it and buy a more powerfull car is the cheapest and only definate way of getting considerably more power, unless you want to spend thousands sticking a turbo charger on it and end up melting the engine for very little increase

Agreed; buy a Monaro VXR or a VXR8. It will actually be a better power / £ ratio than upgrading your Omega and it will last longer.

You need to change all 4 cams on the X25XE. There's a guide on here somewhere but I can't put my finger on it. All 4 cams on the X25XE are  milder than the X30XE ones.

Hmm, that means the 2.5 omega runs different cams to the 2.5 vec. Wonder what the difference is between them. What is the standard output for a 2.5 omega, do you know?
