I felt like I was going to snap the key yesterday when I tried to force it, it just wouldnt budge.

I'll give it another go tonight when I get in though.

does the boot lock with the deadlock?

my driver door lock does not match my key at all.

I've always been able to get in by opening the boot (with the key), kicking in the cubby hole that lets you get to the boot from behind the armrest then reaching up through the gap to find the rear seat release and clamering through from there.

Mines a saloon btw

Its the estate Tourer and the boot lock is also deadlocked, that was my first though get in through there....but no :-(

Surely Vauxhall wouldnt make it so as you can't get in once deadlocked if the battery goes flat !!!   would they ??  >:(

Insert the key vertically into the drivers side door. Turn the key left side slowly then turn right back slowly until the key become vertical and initial position.(Note: Do not turn right side fully!) If it does not work try the opposite direction..

In theory .... no! In practice, there was no way my key was going to get into my deadlocked car  :(. I used the boot light to power up the car, but as yours is an estate and can't get in via the tail gate, how about crawling under the front and attaching your 12 volts to the starter motor?  ;)  :y :y

Hooray, got in it last night, I just forced the key, didnt actually need that much forcing to be honest so I can get in now :-)

I think it was more the apprehention of forcing the key originally, it just didnt seem right to force anything!

Thanks Guys

It is worrying, but the car will unlock before the key snaps ;)
