Power Steering
« on: 02 December 2008, 20:24:33 »

Hi
Have probs with power steering. I have noticed clicking noise when it is on full lock. So tonight did what someone else had mention on the site, turned it from lock to lock holding it in each lock for a few seconds.

Well it felt like something had slipped, as steering went all heavy but sorted itself out again after a few seconds

Only trouble being the steering is all heavy when engine is not revd above tick over. I checked the fluid and that seems fine. the car is fine when it is being driven though.

Your help please

Cheers

is the clicking as you pass through a certain position when turning the wheel, or when the wheel is held against full lock? Seems very low miles for tired failing pump. Is tension (guessing) ok on aux belt?

Bump. shhh  ;)
