What sealant have you guys used to seal the lens back onto the housing?

I've been looking around the InterWeb & have come across Silicone RTV Sealant. I've also seen Sikaflex which has also been suggested on another forum.

Sikaflex, even a clear bathroom sealent would do the job.

Its not to critical as its not exposed to anything nasty and wont get hot.

I have used Sikaflex to stick the rubbing strips on the doors and it stick like poo to a woolie blanket

At the risk if sounding darft why would you want to take these apart or has water got in there?

You can get condensation which is an MOT failure or its quite common for the adjusters break.

I use couple of those descant bags (they come in all sizes) attached to cord popped in the back of the lamp unit held in place by trapping the cord with the rubber backing cap.  

I've used this trick for years first on bikes then cars, I haven't as yet had any issues with mine though so fingers crossed it stays that way but I'm sure the bags will sort it.

bathroom sealant is what i used

there's a rubber gasket clips over the top to protect edge under bonnet
