has anybody tried to change the oil cooler pipes for v6, and what is the best way to get the old ones out ie: bottom- up or up bottom.

up bottom, defo.
Oh alright, somebody had to...

I guess you can cut the old ones out any old how. I imagine getting the new ones in will be the challenge. They ll be fitted to the engine before the engine is fitted to the car so might be a battle.

The hardest thing is the fact that the pair have two clips on them holding them together

I was just comeing back to mention that, i newer layed eyes on where they attached when i did my oil cooler, as i never got the bottom nuts off through lack of a flair spanner.

So they are cliped to each other and not clipped to the block via bracket and bolt?

Not connected to the block other than at either end
