Heating vents
« on: 11 December 2008, 15:59:43 »

Just to check if this is right

I seem to get most of the heat from the side vents in my car when they are opened to the max. Get some for mid vent but not as much ...is this right or is there somthing to look at

Thanks

Steve.

that confirms nothing wrong with mine as its exactly the same. Have double checked with Kevin Wood and tech 2 and mine has the latest software and, as you say, no usefull flow from the centre vents. You may well find the blast comes back when you use the lower temp settings and the ac chimes back in. Nout to do but hope for another software update.
Haveing said that the reset wont hurt, for some reason mine only works with the ignition in position 2 engine off position. Hth

Silly question, but how do you reset it?

Yep, nothing to worry about. It seems to be by design that heating occurs through the side vents. Perhaps to direct more hot air to the perimeter of the car where the maximum heat loss occurs - or to keep the windows clear. Either way both Chris' and my car do it, and both have been checked thoroughly.
