Hot and cold
« on: 08 December 2008, 12:22:59 »

Have a 2003 CD auto 4 cyl. with some interesting symptoms. I am getting what seems to be AC out of the driver's side while the climate control is set at 28. Passenger side gets hot easily. I read the posts concerning the HBV, but I'm not sure thats the problem...

Any input mates?

Most likely the climate servo motor actuator arm has popped off.....have a little look in the maintenance guide section for details

Hello guys
to avoid such a case make sure to press the eco botton on climate control panel instead of auto botton this will stop a/c compressor and you'll get hot air on both sides

hello abdin, thanks for the info, tried it today but alas, still cold air coming from the vents on the drivers side, regardless of what combination of heater controls. I checked the servo arm in the passenger side, this seems to be working ok, tried synchronising, no difference, can anyone tell me if there are similar servo motors on the drivers side? and is getting to them the same as the passengers?
