Sorry dont know - never used touch up paint on the Estate.

Do you know the "correct" paint code as I need to touch up a small spot of rust on a door?

My guess is it has been re-sprayed then.

Have you noticed any overspray on the window rubbers?

I had a good look at the car. No overspray on any of the rubbers including windows and windscreen. Looked in the boot under the carpet and behind the first aid and multi-cd changer ie the inner rear wing. Looked under the windscreen rubber. All seemingly original paint. I do not believe this to have been resprayed especially after member "dbug" says he too has a silver colour on his V5 but his is gold!

Look at http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1222004987/0/

I did that already see my previous posts about 146/97L which is olive grey/titanium silver which is the colour code on the bonnet and door labels but not that of the car itself!

i hope you aint relying on the touch up cap colour as correct as they are rarely accurate, why not try a dab of the paint in an incospicuous place, let it dry & see how it compares to what youve got on the car :y

Does anybody have a car with the following paint code "497/05L: Aztec Gold Mica (99-)" I am guessing from the age of my Omega this might be the correct paint code, can anybody see from this picture if it matches that paint code?

Just take the car into your local car paint factors and ask them to tell you what paint is on your car, they will be happy to do this as they do it every day, even for professional bodyshops who don't have their own paint  mixing set up.

Paint codes on the Estate -

Door plate - Z146
Bonnet plate - 97L

According to colour codes that is Titanium Silver - hence ref in V5 to silver.

As your codes are also Z146/97L your car will not be Aztec Gold Mica!! If it was you would have plate codes of 497/05L.

Do not try and colour match from photos - it doesn't work!

Despite what I said about photos above look on http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1219509773  for better (larger) pics of Estate.
