Odometer not working
« on: 22 December 2008, 12:51:27 »

The odometer and trip meter has stopped working on my 99 Elite 3.0. All the other instrument functions work fine.

I recently had the oil level sensor replaced, so I'm wondering if they've done something that could cause these symptoms.

If not where should I start investigating?

Many thanks for any help :)

If the speedo still works, I would look towards instrument failure....

Got the same problem with my 2.2 petrol.
The speedo works fine but no miles clocking up.
The computer trip reading works fine so it is getting a signal from somewhere!
Is there a cable for the odometer drive?

Cheers & happy new year!

Nope! :( Sounds like you need a 'new' speedo/dash!  :(  :y  :y

No cables on the 2.2, it would get the reading from the engine ECU or such like, try swapping out the dash

Or any of them. The last Vauxhall that I had with a cable driven speedo was my 2.2 CIH Carlton.  :y
They're driven via the ABS.
