hi all again i have had the eml on my 2.5 v6 mig come on 2day and have done the paper clip test and got a code 13 which says 02 sensor 1 open circuit well please excuse my ignorance but can someone tell me what that means and what to replace as the light stays on all the time.car is driving fine tho.also my air con has a strange habit, most of the time when the engine is idling and i switch the air con on the tickover rises which i know is normal but other times the tickover stays the same, no rise, the air con still works perfectly when it does this.any ideas?and lastly when i switch on the cruise control say on the moterway the revs shoot up by about 500 rpm and the car lurches forward before settling to the set speed it works fine apart from that.is this normal?thanks all

Been a lot of these questions recently; has the outside temperature been under 5 degrees centigrade when it has done this? :-? :-?   Have you purely air con? :-? :-?   In which case it will not actually work until the outside temp. is over about 5 degrees and therefore the engine revs would stay the same.

that interesting the temp has been below freezing the last few days at least and i have climate control if that makes a differance.

That should mean then that you will have only the heat element, and the cold expected from air-con settings would not appear so a/c compressor would not cut in and raise your revs when the outside temp. is "below freezing" or as stated below even about 5 degrees centigrade.
