Cant remove oil filler pipe
« on: 11 January 2009, 13:49:40 »

I have bought 2 new seals for oil cap and oil filler pipe but I cant get the pipe off.  The socket I have got wont fit onto the bolt head as the hole around it isnt big enough.  How am I supposed to get it off?  Do I need to try and buy a thinner E10 socket?

Cheers,

Richard

It's not secured by the bolt. The plastic flange on the filler just locates over the head of the bolt. Try lifting the end of the flange while turning the filler pipe.
