Elite auto box probs
« on: 12 January 2009, 11:35:12 »

Hi new user here so be patient I have a 2000 Elite with auto box probs from standstill select D and its as if the car is in second still pulls off but obviously with a load of revs.  Select first gear manually she pulls off fine but you then have to get it back in D. once on the move the box seems to work fine except for losing sport mode. Any ideas?

think your box is in limp mode, youwill need to get the codes read from the gearbox ecu to find out whats causing the problem. if you update your profile with your location etc, someone may be closeby with a tech 2 reader.

cheers :y

p.s. welcome to the forum

Are you getting an Automatic Gearbox warning on the display?

Any sign of slipping and, from what i have read on here, any further use can result in irreverseable damage. Me, first thing i would do is check the atf, top up or change. See what others say.
Welcome to oof, hope it gets sorted.

Ps. Dont worry too much, breakers on here usually have a box for very fair money.
