« on: 12 January 2009, 23:04:02 »

Hi first question hope someone can help 2000 Elite auto 2.5 with autobox probs I select D from standstill and the car is in 2or 3 still pulls off but loads of revs needed. Put it in 1 manually and she pulls away fine then once in D she drives as normal except wnen slowing to a stop when 1st is needed then its a case of remembering to put it in manually starting to be a pain also lost sport mode  any ideas ?

have you changed the battery or had it in & out?, just wondered if you might have knocked the round plug loose by the battery tray, there are 3 of them & the g/box one is the middle one [colour coded blue],check it for dampness, is the g/box warning coming up before you start the engine?, could also check the connector clipped on the g/box [rectangular one], i wont say what it was on mine cos apparently they never go ;D ;D ;D
