throttle linkage (feeling really stupid)

I am feeling very stupid atm as i am unable to disconect the throttle cable
i thought it was a case of remove the locking pin and then pull it off.  
(before anyone else says it ye ye  you thought id have had no problem with pulling it off)

anyway im stuck and feel like an idiot

you idiot....  ;D ;D

it does just pull off, but with a bit of effort, I used a small screw driver to pop it off, sometimes it helps to wiggle it about like theres 240v running thru it to get it off.   :y

I have too. Even MarksDTM at Keswick had problems & gave up trying!  ::) :y

Remove the lockpin.  Use needle nose pliers to fill the gap between the cable ball and the actuating levers.  Use broad blade screwdriver cleverly to lever the ball away from the needle nose pliers.  May have to change where the screwdriver is applied a couple of times to pop the ball free....   :y

i got it
it was full of crap  
a quick skoosh of wd40 and it popped off with a screwdriver no problems at all

thanks for everyones help
(i still feel like a numpty tho)

If you look inside, there's a spring clip. Put a blob of grease inside for next time.
