According to my TIS you have to take the engine out to replace them do you or is ther another way.

if you undo all 7 i think it is, maybe 6 bolts/nuts off the exhaust manifold studs then you can eas the manifold off and slide the gasket between the studs and manifold and there ya go

you can get from below or possibly above, only been told from above- iv never tried either yet but might be finding out tomorrow

Driverside is the easier side but you have to remove quite a bit to get at it, the passenger side is more trouble because you have to ondo the engine mounts and move the engine sideways to get at it but you don't have to remove the engine

....im going to either take the heads off with the exhaust manifold still on oooor... try taking the manifold off without moving the engine that should be fun lol

you should see how stripped down my 2.5 heads are... mutantcav looked quite shocked seeing no exhaust manifolds, no snapped manifold studs and no dis pack rack thing!

Or you have to remove both cylinder heads. The manifolds are mounted to these so you can work easily if the whole unit is out. Anyway you can replace your head gaskets too.
I think it's statutory if any of the screws are broken into the head and you can't take it out....

i suppose your right but it's alot more work taking both heads off and if your going to put it back together properly i believe it's 60 pounds just for the head bolts!
