2.2 CD not starting
« on: 21 January 2009, 17:29:36 »

hi all can anyone help
my 2.2 Miggy not starting,
when trying to start the car the engine turns but does not start up,

on the dash when the ignition is turned on, are two lights staying on the Eml and the car with the spanner in.
they are not flashing ,they just stay on ,there was no problem this morning as used for a taxi again for kid's

when came back, was in the process of maybe cleaning the camsensor
as previously the light on the dash with a spanner through sometimes came on ,and someone reccomended cleaning it.
but when i took the cover slightly off and seen in ,i thought no chance

But since then car has not started

Sounds like a faulty cam sensor, you need to get the codes read to confirm.

If it is, only replace with a genuine Vx part.

I would say more the crank sensor? I think the 2.2 can start without the cam sensor plugged in
