My wipers have stopped parking in the correct position when turned off they now park about 50 - 70mm higher than they should.

There doesn't appear to be any real play in the linkage and I can push them down with a little effort, so is it the motor can it be fixed?

They aren't going off the screen are they when working? just thinking you could undo them and move them both down a little..

No they work fine just dont park in the right place

Wipers going through the full range of movement then, just as you expect them to switch off, they come back up a few inches?  If so, would like confirmation of fix as well.  Been told that its a case of loosening the motor itself and rotating it a bit, but not 100% on that....

Yep thats it, been doing it for a while now only today while in the garage I swithed on the ignition and could hear the wipers being pulled down the dry screen.

If it was the linkage/s I would have thought there would be noise/loss of movement but there isn't.

H21 is along the right lines. Take the whole assembly off, 4 hex headed self tappers, and you'll see that the rotary motion of the wiper motor is turned into a back & forward motion by an arm that's bolted to the motor. It's this arm that's come loose. You'll see 2 marks on the frame like >   < and the arm should park between them. Move the arm and repace the nut with a nyloc nut or use a bit of 'Nutloc' to glue it in place.

This might sound so daft, but how do they park when your screen is wet? sometimes when the screen is dry wipers seem to struggle..

This might sound so daft, but how do they park when your screen is wet? sometimes when the screen is dry wipers seem to struggle..

Still not where they should oddly when I clean the screen using the washers they park ok only happens when just using the wiper setting:

Wipers struggle on a dry screen because of the rubber gripping the screen instead of sliding nicely on a wet screen like they are designed todo.

Could try another relay, in case its not cutting off when it should :-/

Nothing to do with the relay!     It's the arm that's come loose cos the 8mm nut has come loose!!
