What is this bumper?
« on: 01 February 2009, 10:40:43 »

Can anyone identify what this bumper is please?

I bought it to put on my pre-facelift car and it didn't come with foglights.
So assuming this is a facelift bumper I got some facelift foglights but can't see how they fit. Even though the three mounts line up, they screw in from the back to front, but the bumper has fixings to screw from the top to bottom.

Ah right then! Are their fogs different to normal facelift bumpers or could I 'get' mine to fit? (get meaning make brackets somehow)

Edit: Here is what the facelift MV6 looks like...grilles etc look different...foglight looks like it should be same though

Edit: Front pic of MV6...

Yeah sorry about that I can't find another pic of one like mine.

On yours the black grille goes the whole width between the foglights.

On mine I have holes for the foglights, a few inches of bumper, and a smaller grille section between them.

The bumper in the top pic is a prodrive bumper, its different to the bumper on mutantcav's. altho his car is a MV6 being a police spec one it has the standard facelift bumper.

the fogs are different between the 2, good luck finding a pair, about as rare as the bumpers themselves.

So I have a rare Prodrive bumper then. Marvellous.

I might have a pair of brand new facelift fogs for sale if I can't sort something out soon.

You can still get the bumper (I have a contact at Prodrive) brand new. Unfortunately they are quite expensive, though not quite as expensive as going through Vauxhall.

you have a rare prodrive bumper without fogs and washer jets  ;D ;D

In all honesty yyou should maybe sell it and get yourself a prefacelift irmy bumper, as the prodrive one will take some modifying to fit right,

Its meant for the facelift, so needs the facelift headlight trims (meaning facelift lights to match) and there is no holes for the pegs of the prefacelift grille to fit into.

Im not entierly sure it would even look right, given that your door trims etc are probably black and the top of the rear bumper is black, this prodrive one is meant to be fully colour coded.

So you are looking at more than just bolting the bumper on..  :D :D

Already got FL rear bumper and sorting out FL trims this week.

Also grill and headlights + trims are not a problem.

Might uploads some pics later today if its not too cold out (snowing here now)
