Key Fob battery dead.
« on: 03 February 2009, 17:44:13 »

One key has stopped working (no light)  can I just buy a new battery and fit, or does something else  want doing ?? -- second key works fine.  Sorry about this, as I am sure I have seen a post about it but cannot find it. The car is an Omega 2.2 auto V reg. Thank you for your answer as I suppose this has been asked  and solved many times.

Thank you friends. Have received a phone call to tell me the key number is    CR 20 32. Does anybody know if it's a vauxhall replacement only, or can it be obtained from anywhere ??
I am hoping it is just a simple change over. Guess electronics is funny stuff ??

CR2032 is a standard battery size, ebay or an electronics shop will have them.

or if you are really stuck you can always go to the pound shop as they do various gizmos with the battery showing in the blister packing, just keep the batteries & chuck the crappy gizmo ;D

When I was working I was hired a car, strangely enough the battery in the fob was identical to mine. ;) ;)

Help. Got a battery from Boots this morning. Just fitted it after struggling to open the key body. No Joy ??? No light??
The Key is a two Button type, is there something else I need to do ??
I thought it would be a simple swap job.
