People have been moaning about prices and taxation since time immemorial. As Miggy says, we'll pay, and then demand a pay rise, which we'll get and so on and so forth........

Miggy - do you also say rise the price of cleaner fuels, such as LPG and bio fuels, which are 70% cleaner?

I think they deserve relief

No mate, i am just rambling, it annoys me what this goverment is doing to us motorist, its as though they are trying to get the average working man off the roads, all these taxes and fuel price rises really naffs people off, but what can we do, we are all softies, we put up with anything the goverment throws at us.

I agree with the rise in prices, and road tax increases, we need to lesson the amount of vehicles on the road and this is one way of priceing the motorist off the road, travel if you need to, if no one agrees with the price rises then leave the car at home and use our fantastic public transport.

No pain, no gain, if we are to save the planet for future generations, then action needs to be taken, i say put the prices up.

Biofuels should be banned. Supplying the demand for them is doing more environmental harm than burning fossil fuels.  >:(

Well, as this useless government has banned smoking, is trying to ban drinking, I reckon banning driving will be high on the agenda after that.

Bring on the blockades I say.  Yes I know that a lot of people will be inconvenienced, but it is the only option left that will make the government take notice.

They took notice the last time.

A reasonable amount of tax on fuel is OK, but being ripped off is NOT end of story really.

Just my views...

It changes over time. Has done in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Of course we need to address fossil fuel usage (since it's finite), as well as population-growth issues, but Al Gore's current green bandwagon is likely to do more harm than good, IMHO.

And why do I suggest banning bio fuels?

This is why: http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30200-1286104,00.html

The blockades could be back again

www.transaction-2007.com

I use my wifes little Rover Diesel to travel the country now. I used to use the Omega but that eats into my profit so I keep it so I can use something comfy at weekends. I cant put my prices up or the councils I do work for will just use someone local to them. The Rover is ok for short journeys but is noisy. I will be more than happy to protest and blockade. :(

Well said that man.  :y

I'll pay my higher duty, so it can be used to pay the ridiculous inflated salaries of MP's, and all the other tossers that make a living ripping off the average working man?
