I'm losing coolant, approx 1ltr per 3 weeks... Its not the coolant bridge, or plate (replaced all them not so long ago), HBV is fine, replaced the heater matrix about 6 months ago.

The only place I have seen evidence of coolant is what looks to be the drain plug on the radiator although when wiped an cleaned, it does not seem to be the source

• Whats the common radiator type failure (or leakage in that area)?
• How difficult to remove and replace radiator if it comes to it?

When my rad failed, the coolant seemed to collect at the drain plug too. I think my failure was just age, it failed on one of the main cores in the middle. Changing the rad isn't difficult, a couple of temp switches on the passenger side & an ATF cooler for the auto cars.

A new one using a Trade Club card was around £200

Bummer... I got TC but cannot pay that. You see I'm on the verge of getting rid and getting a 2.2 Vectra because of the problems with the Omega

By the time I sorted radiator, oil cooler pipe work (my fault), handling problems, springs etc I will have spent sooo much. But then again, I like the omega?!?

Scrappers for me I think!

I know I'm probably going to get shouted at but what about radseal or magic bond?

Get a second hand one.....probably only 20-30 quid.

Examine it carefully before buying.
I managed to get a new one for my TD for 160 quid!

Yea hard to argue to the toss once you have received it... Will update once I get something sorted!

Any radiator rebuilders near you. They will recore the radiator for a reasonable cost - mine cost about £50
