help rounded off core plug on auto box

 >:([size=18][/size] hi guys could any body help i am trying to change my auto gear box oil but drain plug nut rounded off and looks like its never been off from new its half inche socket size ive tryed every thing  :-/

you could try banging on a 12mm socket, failing that stilsons should shift it :y

If you're planning on changing the atf you need to remove both sump pans from the bottom of the gearbox.
Even this will only remove around half the atf from the system.
The plug you're struggling with is the filler/level plug and removing it now means less oil spilling down your sleeve when you take the back sump off but can stay in place till you take the sump off and can see to get it out.

hi guys i ended up takeing of the gear box sump and warming the drain plug up with a blow lamp it worked woners off the car replaced plug with a new one

When I had the fluid changed on my last Omega I had the same problem.

Correct socket/spanner size is 13mm. Best to use a hexagon socket, (rather than bi-hexagon type).
