Not starting as it should
« on: 05 February 2009, 17:11:28 »

My Elite is taking a few cranks to get started from cold. It starts fine when warm.
From cold it seems to try and catch on all cranks, then does start but lumpy, once fully started it seems to be fine.

Now i have changed the HT leads and fitted GM plugs, leads are Lucus.

Any ideas??

I believe if theres no fault code then its down to the Dis pack, plugs or leads but I would wait for confirmation ;)

What mileage?
How are the cylinder compressions, from cold and from hot?

Compression testing isn't bad - it would be good to know the readings  :y

If you crank it for a few seconds with your foot flat on the floor before attempting to start normally does this help?
