Cruise control 2000 2.2 facelift
« on: 10 February 2009, 20:53:31 »

I'm thinking of adding CC to my 2.2 facelift, as far as I'm aware all I need is to fit the relevant stalk, and then have it activated via tech2, is this correct?

does the stalk of any model fit, or does it have to be facelift, and is it engine size specific?

4 wire stalk (all Omegas the same except 2.5TD), possibly clutch switch if manual, and a chat with a real Tech2 (http://theboy.omegaowners.com)

I'd recommend a brand new genuine stalk - 2nd hand ones prone to failure, and pattern ones are a bit crap

How much is it for a new GM stalk Theboy?

I was thinking of activating mine as well with a wee trip to hotel21 :y :y

Not 100% on the price of a new stalk but, from memory of similar posts on here, less than 30 quid.....  Plus T2 time....   ;)

Trade is about £30 + VAT, retail a couple of quid more, purely from memory...

IIRC, he needed older style, as no intention of buying the fob part?  Transponder would soon get lost with a horseshoe ;D
