Outside Temp Sensor

hiya all again i have another issue with my omega.   since i bought my meg the temp sensor hasent given a readin on my display.  a friend gave me today a brand new one to replace just in case it was naffed.  still nothing.   any ideas on what else could be an issue.

Being ex plod it may have had the wiring "modified" by accident ::) ::)

Follow the wiring from the sensor until you find an electrical connector in front of the passenger side wheel, behind the bumper.  The pins can often become corroded and cause bad readings.

im not sure if there is any power getting to it.  what is the voltage of the temp sensor if i try to cowboy wire it for testing it?
