omega 2.5 cutting out
« on: 17 February 2009, 19:44:24 »

Please can anyone advise we are running out of ideas the engine just cuts out while driving. I did the paperclip test and it didnt show anything. I have read various ideas on here and have cleaned out everything advised and fitted a new icv valve. It is still cutting out.  Changed spark plugs and ht leads after seeing the leads were covered in oil from leaking gasket which we have also changed along with the rocker cover. Did the paperclip test again and code 17, 21, 31 & 57 came up.  We have now bought a new crankshaft sensor but still cutting out.  How many things do we have to keep changing and if we drive it like this will it do any harm? Please help running out of money fast!

Have you checked the connection to the throttle position sensor and the connection on the ICV. Knock sensor shouldn`t cause cutting out. Is it starting OK :question

Hi,
First time must tested cramshaft conector.
Position 1-2 = 500-800 Ohm.
If resistance  less or larger it is wrong.
Me helped if this sensor dismonted, because it is dirty, cleaning and next mount back.

Undrestand me? :-))))))
