Headlight switch illumination
« on: 20 February 2009, 20:57:11 »

I've removed the headlight switch as it's not illuminating very well.

There's a small grey bulb, with a hexagonal profile on it's GREY holder.
Is this the correct colour holder?
What's the correct bulb rating?
This bulb looks to be of the same type as those used in the warning lights, but with different colour holder.

Ive also noticed that the indented off/side/head symbols at the top of the switch illuminate via the ignition key. Is there also a bulb here that can be changed?

All help appreciated ........

hello yas there is as when i got my car lots of the lottle bulbs were burnt out, they all need to be replaced if some are going a silver colour , caused by over voltage. incedently the center switches can be made brighter by removing the grey internal cap's inder the logo. this make for a nicely lit car, not over bright bet really readable. :y

Hang on here ......
Right Mark, firstly the grey capped bulb is 1.2 watt, (am I correct?)
Secondly, the other bulb, (for the switch symbols), is a capless 2 watt jobbie, (am I correct again?). How do you access this second bulb? Cheers in anticipation .... 1
