would it be possible to program in a 2 button key from a 2002 model or is that too advanced?

Only if same make and style. Can't remember if the facelift estate ones (saloon all 3 button) are compatible...

They are, most are Megamos AM....but check the type.

written on back of fob. try looking under different lighting conditions, as its a bugger to read...

The 2 button key I have says Bosch on the back. No joy then  :(

Is that the one you'r using (unusal to see Bosch one on prefacelift)?

If its not same type and make as existing one, its no good

Have you had it programmed to car?  If not, PM Hotel21, who has the facilities.  You will need carpass.
