HG Failed
« on: 04 March 2009, 17:54:16 »

This morning, on way to work, car lost power and felt like it was firing on 3 cylinders, accompanied by large clouds of steam from the rear of the car and coolant low warning. This looks suspiciously like HG failure to me.... Is this something i could do?? If so, what do i need to get now? apart from a can of petrol and some matches....
I am seriously considering giving up on this car...

I got it home before the temp went up too far, haven't checked to see if there is any oil in the water. I do have a miniscule crack in my exhaust manifold and i could see the water bubbling through that.
