Coincidence that, I am looking for one, no rush though. I will get one as soon as my local scrappy gets one in, the Diesel ones are different to Petrol ones. There is some good info on here about replacing/stripping one. You may find yours is just clogged up. :y

Get your mechanic to check that the ribbed transfer pipe on the pump unit whilst he's at it.

This goes from the T-connector at the top of the pump down to the base of the swirl-chamber. These are known to block/split.
Sometimes when this pipe is at fault, the symptom is poor starting when the fuel level in the tank is below the 20 litre mark.

There's an excellent 'how to' in the Maintenance Guides section.
It's on page 2 and courtesy of platty!

Diesel pumps are rare s/h with no guarantees that they are any good.  My new one was circa £120 & it solved the starting problem

From your nearest Vauxhall 'stealers' - I was quoted around £100 plus VAT - so Pitchfork's already-stated price is about right.

Personally, I wouldn't fit a second-hand one. If you're sure that the in-tank pump is at fault, take the plunge and get new.

Mine came from VX Agent locally (Basingrad)
It had to be ordered because not much in the way of TD parts are held in stock by Dealers
