« on: 07 March 2009, 19:47:25 »

Hi all , washers have packed up , the pump is making its normal noise , I disconnected the water pipe at the side of the bonnet , no water coming through when washers were tried , any advice as to where / how to fix or where to look next ? No water being dumped on the floor , when washers are tried, where is the pump situated and how do I get to it please, mechanic across the road owes me a favour so said he would have a look tommorrow , any help would be as ever much appreciatted.

Take care

Not surprisingly, the washer pump sits in the side of the washer bottle,  ;) The bottle is behind your grille, couple of self tappers at the top and it pulls up & off. As described here before, if you can hear the pump running but no water out of the jets, it's likely to be a gunged up filter that the pump is sucking from. Pull the pump sides ways to clear the bottle & then upwards off the grommet/strainer, remove strainer & washer it. Re-assemble & you'll be sorted.  :y  :y
