Can I trust QuikFit to do my shocks?
« on: 11 March 2009, 17:46:55 »

Anybody any recommendations of VX-friendly a place to get my Omega estate shockers done? (Possibly wishbones as well) I live in the West/South Yorks area; but would be willing to travel further afield to get em done well. Only had the car a couple of weeks and I love it, apart from a bit of bouncy/rough handling over bumps . I Can't hear any knocks or bangs from the suspension though.

Thanks

I can't recommend an alternative, but I wouldn't have Kwik-Fit change my socks -- definitely not touch the car !!!!!

Maybe a tad unfair -- there is a chance that your local branch has someone in there who knows what he is doing ( He certainly ain't down here !)

LOL! agreed! NO!

How have kwikfit managed to get themselves such a bad reputation?

Phillip Welsh near York is a place I go but might be a bit far for you.

Yeah, I thought not! ...York not too far at all. 40min drive from here. They look good! Are they expensive? What should I expect to pay for a full set fitted?

They are good value, not the cheapest but very very proffesional.

Ask for Paul on 01904 489391.

There is a pub 200yds up the road, I usally go and have a bite to eat whilst i'm having work done.

Thanks Black Knight. I might give them a ring tomorrow, See if I can arrange something for next week. I have a couple of spare leave-days to take from work. Might be useful. Thanks.
