My wife is stranded, car unlocks , engine turns over but it will not start, the engine light keeps flashing. I think this may be the immobiliser? is there any way of starting the car.

paperclip test to start with I think. (assuming it has fuel..)

Do you have recovery?

Can't get to her at present, have phoned recovery. I just hoped it was something simple she could try.

Thanks for the help, the car has just been brought back by recovery. I had a suggestion on VXON which was spot on. The key had fell to bits, the wife found the transponder & didn't know what it was [ just a bit of plastic ] but luckily kept it. Popped it back in & away it went.

These Forums are a Godsend at times, thanks for the replies. Live & learn.
