Dilemma...........
« on: 14 March 2009, 15:06:16 »

Hi All,

I've got a nasty scrape on the corner of my front bumper about the size of a football, where I clipped a concrete column in an underground car park... :'(

I know of a bumper in good nick at a good price but its about 500 mile round trip to get it :-/

I know its not an easy one to answer but has anyone any idea how much it might cost to fix the scrape? ie anyone had anybody had some bodywork done recently? ::)

Cheers

Steve

surely the cost in fuel and the cost of the replacement would be more expensive than gettin your one repaired

This is my dilemma! Cost of fuel and replacement will be about £90 - £100. I could repair it myself but I'll make pigs ear of it!!! ;D

When I lived in Bristol I had my Elite's rear bumper repaired by a firm in Filton, but I can't remember their name. ::) ::)

However, I have a funny feeling that now they could be these people, Ding Masters:

Worth a try I reckon, as they seem to offer the same services as the company I used all those years back and they were very good! :y :y :y

Thanks for that Lizzie, know I should get a quote or two.  I just thought that there might have been someone here today that had had similar work done and could give me a pointer as what it might cost :y

Or maybe someone knows of a reasonable price company that can courier the bumper?? Saves you a 500m trip at least...they are 1.7m long so just too long to be sent my most couriers...

Had a cat delivered from Southampton (CATMAN) to Stevenage.

Cost £12.50 by courier.  Total cost with gasket £104.  Paid son £40 to fit it 'cos he was short of money.  Rather pay him than exhaust centre who were quoting £200+.

Took him 45 minutes.  I'm happy, he's happy  :)

Bumpers probably longer, but cat heavier.

By the way, catman very friendly.
