Tried turning them off then on again 10 mins later and their not warming up as expected, leave it an hour and they work fine again ? any help would be much appreciatted.

there is a thermostate in them
once reached a certain temp they will turn off and when they drop to a certain temp they will turn back on
hence when you leave it an hour it works again fine

hope that is of any help :y
