Quickest way to check compatibility is pop off the blade (make sure the transponder doesn't fall out) and split the case, remove the circuit board starting at the top as there are 2 small retaining lugs at the bottom.
Examine the circuit boards and if they have the same number and component layout they are compatible.
There are several 2 button remotes specific to model and whether alarmed or not.
Model numbers ie M-AM, T-AM, TX5468 etc on the back of the cases wear out after a couple of years.
If you can read the number that's not a guarantee its correct, as someone may have replaced the original case with another one., so best to check the circuit board.
Depending on the year, the chips may not be compatible as earlier models had a chip with white printing, later gold printing.
This information may already be on the forum archive and I'm simply repeating it.
I've started to photograph and index remotes, but like all good intentions seems to have faded on to something more pressing.
I've been asked on numerous occassions to program keys/remote that people have bought from EBay that were guaranteed to be suitable for their make/model, some worked OK, others had the transponders missing/wrong type or wrong/broken fob.
