Handbrake adjustment
« on: 25 March 2009, 23:01:05 »

Got MOT on Monday.  All appears ok, except handbrake. Needs one last click to stop that v6 engine moving the car against handbrake.

Is there a cable adjustment I could make to be spot on. Don't want to strip everything down at the moment, haven't got time.

Cheers for any help.

PS. done forum search, couldn't find any advice :-?

Basically you cannot adjust the handbrake cable on its own .. you release the cable, adjust the brakes, then set the cable.

You might need to pick the bones out of that thread as it covers a complete overhaul..
