Correct battery for my Omega
« on: 25 March 2009, 19:21:52 »

Hi all,

New owner of a Vauxhall Omega 2.5i V6 Elite. Having problems and want to purchase battery. Have looked on the web and every battery seems different and none of them match the current battery.

Can anyone advise the specification, size, power etc I should look to purchase.

Kind regards

Have a look here mate

http://www.performancebatteries.co.uk/find_battery/cars#battery_info

Put in your car info and it comes back with a 68 and a 72...68 should do and for the price difference...pretty sure they have quite a few 72's at Halfords

You get one from your local Vauxhall dealer!! - usually in stock.  To get Trade Clunb prices you need Trade Club Card.

Andyc is a parts manager and can get stuff at TC prices .. but a battery will cost a lot to ship ...

Contact him here...

Or pay £20 to autobahnstormers and get your own to use at your local Vx dealers

You need a battery with an SAE of 680 and fits in the hole.
About £40 quid for any decent motor factor with a 3 year warranty

Do NOT be tempted to get an under powered battery...Vauxhall put stupid side terminal 54 batteries in the Sintra...they die pretty quick trying to start a 3.0 v6 Omega engine on the CDX...first thing I did to mine was wire in round terminal connectors and stick a decent battery in :y
