Having read your thead, I would put money on the Maf Sensor, if you diss them they dont seem to make much difference (replace or swap it).

Also check the Fuel Filter is full of fuel (just un screw the top and check inside, Dont turn it upside down if your going to put the same one back).

Have you done the 'Diesel Magic Thing', replace Fuel Filter and fill the Filter up with Diesel Magic before fitting it.

Does the Sports button on the box make any differance.

Check for loose or split hoses arround the Air Intake and arround the Turbo area.

Can you hear the Turbo spinning, whats it like up steep hills (power wise).

You haven't got binding brakes have you, can you push the Car easy?

Whats it feel like when you pull away, does it seem (feel) to rev more than it should.

Still thinking Engine (power or Turbo) rather than Gearbox.

can you check Gearbox Oil level, does Sports mode make any difference?

Im trying to get a feel on this pulling away and reving bit.

Try this park up at 90 degrees (head on) to a Pavement Kerb and pull away up the Kerb, will it do it?, if not, what happens?, Revs?, Smoking Exhaust?, any smells?.

Thinking out loud now, check the Battery and Charging Voltage, if the Alternator goes high (arround 17 Volts) that could knock out the Gear Box ECU or may put it in permement Snow Mode?

Seem to be going all over the place with this one!

Check the Charging Voltage, Engine off - 12.5 Volts, Engine running - 14 volts (ish). Report back if its higher or lower.

Does the Snow Mode reset when you do a Engine restart?

If gearbox fluid is low then you will get this sort of effect...it takes loads of revving a while before it will shift then accelerates quite slowly...top up the fluid and it will be like a different gearbox if thats the problem...probably just 1 litre needed, but if really bad then 2 litres but follow the procedure to top up the fluid and jobs a goodun...again alf will be able to help you if needed :y
