no hot air

im not getting any hot air out of my vents is this the matrix or another part. im about to flush the rad tomorrow so if i have any work to do id rather do it all at once.

yeah you can flush the cooling to help this but its likely the operating rod has slipped off. i used to be able to get mine to pump hot air by putting it all the way upto hot, but that was with climate control

luckily i am flushing the coolant tomorrow. but whats this about a rod? ive got air con if that what you mean by climate control, but turning mine up makes no diff it just cold

climate control is air con witha difference you set the temp on a digital display and it controls the heat and air con to keep the inside of the car at that temp. there is a temp setting on the display i think after 28 of high

The vents are connected to rods which are driven by servo's. The rods have a habit of popping off the connections at the servo end. Get down into the footwell and take off the kickboard under the dash. Have a good look up inside the cntre console and operate to vents to see which ones aren't moving correctly.

There is a "How to.." somewhere on here - worth a look

im hoping this is not due to your hot running problem on your other post, you might want to check that your expansion bottle isnt getting a lot of pressure build up, also see if the pipes for the heater going through the bulkhead are hot but not rock hard to squeeze, perhaps your flush through might be the answer so i wont jump to conclusions about the possibilties of it being something more sinister,,,good luck :y
