Fault codes
« on: 28 March 2009, 18:01:23 »

Hi,

My EML has been on for a while, with these codes.

135 - Telltale checklight voltage low.
87 - A/C cutoff relay voltage low.
52- Tell tale checklight voltage high.

I changed the A/C relay and the EML went out  :), but after a while its come back on! :(

I've paper clipped it again, and the 135 code has gone. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas?

My map reading lights and heated seats arn't working either!! (fuses & bulbs are fine):'(

Any thoughts?? ::)

Hmmmm didn't get any answers last time I put these fault codes up either!! :(

However, I've been looking through the site and came across MDTM's post about repairing the alternator, and he mentions if the brush/regulator pack is iffy it will cause high and low voltage output.

Could this be the cause of my fault codes? and would it show up with a decent multimeter as taking the alternator out looks like a barsteward!!! :-?

Cheers in advance!

TB your're a legend!!! :y :)

Fuse 29 was indeed blown and now I've got my heated seats, map reading lights and the EML is off! :y :y :y

I only checked the fuses relating to the interior lights and heated seats!!  Also it had a 10amp fuse and the handbook says it should be 20amp hopefully thats why it went! ::)

It says in the handbook:-

" Fuse No 29 -Terminal 30: constant current for caravan/trailer."

How does this circuit affect the map lights and heated seats? and I havn't got a towbar..... :-/

Many Thanks again TB!! :)
