Camshaft sensor position on 2.6 v6

Can someone please send me a picture of where to locate camshaft sensor as I have no idea where to look.

This is the closest I have, it shows it sticking through the front cam bearing

Its held in by a single torx screw which is just obscured in the picture by the connector on the right

What size Torx bolt is it... I need to change my sensor, and don't want to buy a whole set.

As the Omega is littered with torx bolts, a set would be a good idea!
However if you have a decent selection of 12point sockets, you should be able to find one that will work in a low torque application like this. Bear in mind It's against best practice.

Aren't these normally bulletproof on the V6? whats the issue?

Had one fail on Josh's estate, replaced with known good second hand and no reported issues since :-\

Try 8mm 1/4" socket for removal :-X

Had one fail on the Estate - replaced by main dealer under warranty (they replaced crank sensor first which didn't fix problem of stalling, then cam sensor which did).  That was over 2 years ago - been ok since.

No idea why the one on J's car failed... :-\

Spanner light came on, so checked the codes and the cam sensor was at the top of the list, swapped with mine and the light went out and all was well... second hand one fitted to mine with no ill effects :y
