6 disc cd changer
« on: 31 March 2009, 21:52:30 »

Hi all,
I am having problems with my 6 cd autochanger in the back of my car. I put discs in and select cd on the radio it then recognises where the cds are located ie 1-6 but then comes up with er-cd (1-6 as applicable) it then goes back to the radio. now when i press the cd button it comes up with the message no disc.
Any ideas ??
Thanks
Ian

Don't understand laser working to hard, it is standard continuous beam of light it doesn't get brighter or dull. Only the reflected image is less clear on a cdr cos of the different coating on the disk that allows you to burn to it. Clean your laser lens, don't use one of these supposed stupid cd cleaner disks and all should be O.K.

If you can play normal disks and maybe if you can't play any disks at all this should fix it.

Dust will builds up in CD players is the enemy of the laser  :)
Its actually the focusing coils - part of the laser (though not actually the laser diode itself) that struggles with CDRs :)

Its the word censor that automatically humiliates people who try to use 'text speak', which is difficult for humans to read, and buggers up our search engine rankings ;)

agreed, but whats the solution? Asking people nicely not to use kids language, but that hasn't worked.

Fortunately not many m8 nuts and bolts on omega
