They are correct. The flasher unit needs to be replaced by one which picks up the trailer lights.

I would like one myself  ::)

Another option is to put an annoying and embarrasing bleeper in the boot  :y

Another option is to look for a big white caravan in the mirror  ::)

I put up with the rear-mounted bleeper.

After all, the amount of time that the 'van is hitched-up is comparatively small anyway.

Ditto to that, and bleeper is behind the boot panel so is not to loud :y

Have you put a bulb in the dash as you need to.

errr what's what wrong with your mirrors? what's the point in a led on the dash when there is a massive white burger van behind you?

If it doesn't beep/flash then you know you've got a bulb out on the back of the trailer, can't see the back of the trailer from the mirrors :) ;)

I believe the law states you have to have a device to indicate that the trailer lights are working. A dash flasher or a boot mounted buzzer will do the trick   ;)

What's simpler than swapping a reay one for one & putting a lamp in the dash?  :-/ A buzzer is the most annoying thing in the world!  ;)

TBH from inside the car I can barely hear mine with the radio on at a sensible level and conversation with SWMBO ::) ::) ::)

That said, I must get around to sorting the light on the dash as I like everything to work :y :y :y
