Judders >_<
« on: 16 April 2009, 21:27:14 »

after reading a thread by JamesV6CDX, i saw that one of the things he fixed was something to do with the clutch and juddering... i think i have this problem on my omega.
it only when the engine is warm and when when having to pull away on a hill that it does this and not only is it really annoying but it also concerns me.
Now, me not having much in the way of knowledge when it comes to mechanics (i can change spark plugs! :y) im curious as to know whats wrong with it and how can i (if its something simple) fix it.

replies are welcomed :y :y  :

If your car has a manual gearbox, then it could be that the dual mass flywheel is failing.
if your car is auto I havent got a clue?

From my past experiences with clutches this can be down to the assembly needing replacement. :'(

When / how many miles ago was the clutch last replaced? :-?

Another possibility is contamination of the clutch fricton surfaces. Any signs of oil leakage from the bottom of the bellhousing?

Either way it needs to come out for a look.
